Jose deserts his military post for the girl and joins a group of smugglers after a mutiny against his superior. However, Jose still misses his mother and life in the barracks. Later, Carmen falls in love with the bullfighter Escamillo, and rejects Jose, who begs her to stay with him. Finally, Jose kills her in a fit of jealous rage.
This performance will be a flamenco dance version of Carmen. Sourced from the source of the Gypsies in Spain, Flamenco has become one of the most typical Spanish artforms.
